What Is the Visa Integrity Fee ? The Visa Integrity Fee is a $250 surcharge introduced under the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” a major US immigration and border security law passed in July 2025. It applies to nonimmigrant visa applicants — people visiting the US temporarily for tourism, study, work, exchange, or business. Starting 2025, all nonimmigrant visa holders—including tourists, students, and workers—will need to pay a mandatory $250 Visa Integrity Fee under new US legislation. Here's what international travelers should know about this additional cost. Beginning October 1, 2025, a recently enacted domestic policy, which calls for a “ visa integrity fee ,” is expected to increase the cost of entering the US for most non-immigrant visas. Beginning January 1, 2026, a new $250 “ Visa Integrity Fee ” will be imposed on all non-immigrant visa applicants, as mandated by the recently signed “One Big Beautiful Bill Act”, a sweeping immigration and national security legislation signed into law by President Donald J. Trump on July 4, 2025.
