PMMVY is a government scheme that provides financial support to women for health and nutrition during pregnancy and lactation. The scheme covers women from socially and economically disadvantaged sections, and offers higher benefits for second girl child. PMMVY is a maternity benefit program run by the government of India for pregnant and lactating women. It provides cash incentives for institutional delivery, nutrition and feeding practices, and excludes women who receive paid maternity leave.
