PFMS is a Government of India public financial management reforms initiative which monitors programs in the social sector and tracks funds disbursed. PFMS is a web-based online software application developed by the Controller General of Accounts (CGA) to track and report funds and payments under various schemes of Government of India. PFMS has interface with the treasury systems of all states, the core banking system of over 300 banks, and the beneficiary management applications of different ministries and departments. The Public Financial Management System ( PFMS ) has evolved as a robust web-based online system designed, developed, owned and implemented by the O/o CGA. The system provides modules for end-to-end digital payments, collection of receipts, accounting, reconciliation, and Financial reporting.
