The seventh avatar of Vishnuji, Lord Rama , arrived on Earth approximately 869,000 years ago during the Treta-Yuga era. He came when the evil on Earth was extreme, and humanity was on the brink of pain and suffering. Lord Ram descended to save humanity and restore their faith in the Almighty. Lord Rama was the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who killed the demon king Ravana and restored dharma on Earth. Rama was the son of Dashrath, king of Ayodhya. One of the most widely worshipped Hindu deities, the epitome of moral righteousness, Rama is the central figure of the Ramayana and is considered to be an incarnation (avatar) of Vishnu. Who has a divine arrow and a beautiful bow in His hands, I pray to that Śrī Rāma who is the Lord of Raghu dynasty. Above three shlokas (verses) should be recited every morning as regular prayer to Śrī Rāma before chanting the Guru-Mantra.
