Kshatriyas of this dynasty are found in Banaras, Ghazipur, Unnao of Uttar Pradesh and Shahabad, Patna, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali districts of Bihar. Malava Kshatriyas are Agnivanshi. Their gotra is Bhardwaj. They have settled in various places of India from Malwa province, hence got fame by the name Malvia or Malb.
