Mazhar Asif (born 2 January 1971) is an Indian academic administrator and scholar, with a focus on Indian medieval history and Sufism. He has been serving as the Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia since 24 October 2024. Professor Mazhar Asif from Jawaharlal Nehru University’s ( JNU ) School of Languages has been appointed the new Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI).
