Blue film kieslowski critique: The first film of Krzysztof

The first film of Krzysztof Kieślowski‘s Three Colors trilogy, Blue tells the story of gaining freedom from the past through confronting grief, letting the pain go, and starting to look forward. Each of these three films is associated with different colors of the French tricolor and the ideals of the French Revolution. Blue represents the idea of Liberty. Blue prevails in the film ’s color palette. And blue is the color of both the main character’s grief and her liberation in the end ... Krzysztof Kieslowski 's film is a visual and auditory feast. Even during moments of long silence - and there are many - your eyes cannot help but be glued to the screen. I was exhausted when I watched this, but a truly great film wakes me up every time. I was wide awake for "Three Colors: Blue ." I remained awake for several more hours, basking in the glow of what I had just seen. Kieslowski made his mark with this film , truly showing his brilliant skills as a director and maestro. He was able to make music speak for the film and detail it in ways that human words cannot. What we witness is a masterwork by one of the great contemporary Polish filmmakers. After he completed "Red" (1994), the final film in his "Three Colors" trilogy, Krzysztof Kieslowski announced that he would retire. This was not a man weary
