Alkasol Syrup is a urinary alkaliser that increases the pH of urine and prevents gout and kidney stones. It contains disodium hydrogen phosphate and should be taken after meals with water or juice. Alkasol liquid is a medicine that contains disodium hydrogen citrate and is used for urinary tract infections, kidney stones, gout and urinary acidosis. It works by removing excess uric acid from the blood and may cause side effects like diarrhoea, nausea, stomach pain and increased urination.
