Vaishali Rameshbabu (born 21 June 2001) is an Indian chess grandmaster. [1][2] She notably became a two-time champion of the FIDE Women's Grand Swiss Tournament in 2023 and 2025, securing qualification for two editions of the Women's Candidates Tournament in 2024 and 2026 respectively. It's been four months in the making, but Vaishali Rameshbabu is officially a grandmaster, now that FIDE has approved the latest batch of title applications. She joins her brother GM Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu to establish the first brother-sister GM combination in chess history.
