Shilparamam is a traditional handicrafts village. The entry fee per adult is INR 50. I found a lot of traditional toys, sarees, ornaments & clothes here. They also have handmade purses, cup sets & stone idols. They organise a traditional dance in the evening, it was quite delightful to watch. Established in 1992, Shilparamam is situated a few kilometers from Hyderabad city. It is composed of 65 acres (260,000 m 2) of land. The rural museum, surrounded by trees, is a miniature depiction of a typical Indian village. Shilparamam is more than just a marketplace; it is a living museum where the tapestry of India’s diverse cultures is woven into a kaleidoscope of colors, textures, and craftsmanship. The very name “ Shilparamam ” is derived from Sanskrit, where “Shilpa” means crafts and “Paramam” signifies a village. A perfect place for art lovers, Shilparamam is one of the popular tourist spots in Hyderabad. Spread across an area of 50 acres, Shilparamam not just showcases various artefacts and traditionally made handicrafts but is also a home for various performing artists.
