Pune bridge collapse: Four people were killed and 51 others

Four people were killed and 51 others were injured after a 30-year-old bridge collapsed in Pune amid heavy rain on Sunday afternoon. The bridge collapsed and fell into the Indrayani river as nearly 125 tourists gathered on it to witness the swelling river. Before and after pictures of the bridge showed some warning signs - particularly that it was not made for more than one two-wheeler and a couple of people at a time. At least four persons, including a child, were killed and 38 others suffered injuries after an allegedly unsafe iron bridge over a river collapsed Sunday at a popular tourist spot in Maharashtra’s Pune district. An iron bridge over the Indrayani river near Pune collapsed on Sunday, resulting in casualties and injuries. Reports confirm four fatalities and 32 injuries, with several individuals swept away by the river. Rescue operations are underway, with the NDRF team deployed to assist.
