NEW DELHI: Hardeep Singh Nijjar , the chief of the banned Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) and one of India's most-wanted terrorists, was shot dead on June 18 by two unidentified gunmen outside a gurdwara in Surrey in the western Canadian province of British Columbia. Canada's Justin Trudeau has accused India of being involved in the murder. The four Indian nationals accused of killing Khalistani separatist leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar have been granted bail by a court in Canada. Hardeep Singh Nijjar (11 October 1977 – 18 June 2023) was a Canadian Sikh involved with the Khalistan movement. He was a prominent member of the Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) and spearheaded the group's Khalistan Referendum campaign. Hardeep Singh Nijjar was a Canadian Sikh extremist and the leader of the Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF). He was involved in several terrorist activities, including bombings, assassinations, and referendums, in India and Canada. He was killed by gunmen in a gurdwara in Surrey, Canada in 2023.
