Blood glucose levels were measured at various time points between 0 and 120 min (GTT) or between 0 and 60 min (ITT) by using a Bayer glucometer . AUC (area under curve) of the glucose levels in the GTT and ITT was calculated by using GraphPad Prism 5 software. AUC was plotted as bar graphs.
