Gemini Ganesan , better known as the King of Romance, was born on 17-11-1920 in Pudukkottai, Tamil Nadu, India. He was a versatile Indian Film Actor who has given considerable contribution to the Tamil Cinema. Ramasamy Ganesan (17 November 1920 – 22 March 2005), [1] better known by his stage name Gemini Ganesan , was an Indian actor who worked mainly in Tamil cinema. Gemini Ganesan was an Indian actor and one of the stalwarts of Tamil cinema who acted in a variety of roles but was especially noted as a romantic lead, which earned him the title Kadhal Mannan (‘King of Romance’) among fans. During the 1950s and 1960s, Tamil cinema was ruled by the “three giants”: M. G. Ramachandran (MGR), Sivaji Ganesan , and Gemini Ganesan . While MGR was known for his action-packed roles and Sivaji for his dramatic performances, Gemini Ganesan became the poster boy for romance.
