The Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, officially named as Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewri–Nhava Sheva Atal Setu and colloquially known as Atal Setu, is a 21.8 km (13.5 mi) 6-lane grade separated expressway [9] bridge , which connects Mumbai with Navi Mumbai, its satellite city. This iconic Atal bridge is first of its kind in the country. It will connect west and east part of Sabarmati Riverfront. It has drawn inspiration from the Kites and the celebration of Uttrayan. Even the colours chosen reflects the hues of kites. To feel the joy of walking above the river, this glass Atal bridge is constructed between Sardar Bridge and Ellis Bridge . The bridge is solely for the walking purpose and also having seating arrangements for the people to enjoy the beauty of the ... The bridge is an important infrastructure project in Ahmedabad, connecting the eastern and western parts of the city over the Sabarmati River. The Atal Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge that was built in 2012. It has a length of 1325 meters and a width of 22.8 meters, making it one of the longest bridges in the state. The client intended to construct a foot over bridge for pedestrians and cyclists joining the east and west promenades of River Sabarmati between Sardar Bridge and Ellis Bridge . From conceptualising and designing to providing construction support, Assystem in India’s team designed tubular structures for the 300m long span, defined correct geometry of the structural members and their intersections. The project was delivered on BIM platform.
