The term “alumni” refers to a group of individuals who have graduated or studied at a school, college, or university . It implies that former students still have a connection to their school. This connection is not just founded on education but also on experiences, memories, and belongingness. The word “ Alumni ” symbolizes the long-lasting relationship between the individuals and their alma mater – the institution in which they have pursued their studies of interest. Alumni is the masculine plural form, but it is used to describe a group of both men and women who are former students , graduates, members, or contributors to an educational institution. Alumni can be used to refer to men only, and in that case alumnae is used to refer to women only, but more often alumni is used to refer to either or both sexes where both attend the same school. The singular forms are alumnus for a man, and alumna for a woman.
